Cercis |
Cercis are native to North America, Asia and parts of Europe; they prefer full sun, a rich porous soil and a temperate climate. Cercis are noted for their masses of white, pink or purple flowers that grow without stalks directly along the trunk and branches. Blooming at the end of winter, Cercis flowers resemble that of a pea flower, and are also edible. Leaf colours range from green to purple. |
